Nike and Travis Scott—they’re a perfect match.

Travis Scott (also known as La Flame and Cactus Jack) is A young rapper from Houston who has been a household name among rap and hip-hop fans since at least 2018 (the release of the *Astroworld* album).

A year earlier, on December 2, 2017, his first collaboration with Nike was released, the Nike Air Force 1 Low Travis Scott ‘AF-100’. A lot has happened since then; both positive and negative headlines have overshadowed Travis Scott and his partnership with Nike. Nike has put these collaborations on hold for the time being following the tragic events of November 5, 2021, at the Astroworld Festival. The planned Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 “Baroque Brown” and the Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 “Lemon Drop” have been postponed indefinitely. In addition to the Air Force 1 and the delayed Air Max 1, Travis Scott—whom many know from his tracks “Sicko Mode” featuring Drake, “Highest in the Room,” and “Goosebumps”—made a name for himself. In 2019, he released two Air Jordan 1s in collaboration with Air Jordan—one low-top and one high-top. Two more Air Jordan 1 models followed in 2021, this time in collaboration with Fragment.

On June 9, 2019, an Air Jordan 4 collaboration with Travis Scott was also released, which regained popularity thanks to the growing hype surrounding the Air Jordan 4 silhouette and has seen its resale price rise steadily ever since.

Travis Scott also drew attention to himself when he modeled for the Air Dior collection by Kim Jonas & Jordan in 2020. In doing so, he dramatically increased interest in this collaboration and successfully showcased himself.
