Crazy: Vans Premium Authentic 44 Ibiza Pack

The Vans The Old Skool is one of our summer classics. The reason: thanks to the sneaker’s minimalist, clean design, it’s perfect for everyday wear and can be paired with any outfit. A quality that can be said of virtually every silhouette from the brand.

But lately, we’ve been seeing more and more that sneakerheads and fans get really excited when Vans takes a bit more of a risk with its designs. Satoshi Nakamoto, the Pearlized Pack, the version with Chanel-style patches—they’re all cementing the new hype surrounding the skate brand. And for the upcoming pack, too, Vans has left the dusty skateparks of Anaheim behind and traded them for excess on an island.

Here’s a look at the Vans Premium Authentic 44 Ibiza:

Vans celebrates pure ecstasy with a burgundy-red suede upper. In keeping with the Ibiza theme, it’s loud, over-the-top, and yet luxurious. This is evident in the studs and spikes that run across the entire toe box all the way to the side panels, giving us a bit of a Louboutin vibe. Fringed, colorful appliqués on the back half of the sneaker, meanwhile, are more reminiscent of a hippie.

With this design, the brand successfully combines the symbiosis of freedom and after-hours vibes in a single sneaker. Paired with a clean, white midsole and laces, we’re confident this release will sell out just as quickly as the latest models with that “special touch.”

When will the sneaker be released?

So far, all we have is the leak from former Vans designer Greg Betty. However, if the rumors are to be believed, the release is coming later this month, which would also fit the summery theme of the Vans Authentic Ibiza.
