Exclusive Preview: Puma S/S 2027 Collection

Those declared dead live on. Numerous sportswear brands can confirm this—brands that fell into a deep slump after their initial hype, only to be rescued by a savior. After Yeezy and Virgil Abloh, Nike was able to secure a new star in Travis Scott; thanks to Kiko Kostadinov, Asics managed to turn things around after the Gel-Lyte 5 fiasco; while adidas has become the coolest apparel brand with Wales Bonner.

And also Puma aims to build on past successes. After the huge Rihanna x Fenty hype, things quieted down for the other major brand from Herzogenaurach. Even partners like Skepta, A$AP Rocky, and NO/FAITH STUDIOS couldn’t really change that. However, they’ve set the course to revive Puma as the bold lifestyle brand it once was. Thanks to the two Instagram blogs undiscovered.ig and wegotnotaste , we got an exclusive look at the upcoming collection and collabs, which look very promising.

Here’s what to expect from the Puma S/S 27 collection:

During the sneak peek, we discovered a collaboration with the Los Angeles-based label Nahmias. If you’re not familiar with the brand: they’re also behind the legendary Marty Supreme jacket. Together with Puma, they’ve created several new colorways of the Suede with fat laces, which look very playful thanks to the mix of materials. But that wasn’t the only highlight for us.

Puma Lifestyle is also bringing back the sneaker wedges, which enjoyed a rather controversial surge in popularity during the Y2K hype. Here, they’re paired with the Speedcat and, alongside the ballerinas, are the most eye-catching silhouettes in the new collection. But models like the Suede—with its dress shoe sole and leather upper—are also a tasteful move for Puma and successfully round out the lineup.
