Bad Bunny, the superstar from Puerto Rico, is currently in the final stages of his sold-out world tour and thus at the peak of his success. Whether it’s streaming numbers, live shows, collections with Zara, or viewership ratings during the halftime show: Benito is currently breaking all records. What’s particularly interesting to us, however, is the collaboration with adidas.

The brand with the three stripes has learned from past partnerships. Instead of taking the loud, over-the-top marketing approach—as was the case back then with Kanye West and Jerry Lorenzo—adidas is taking a much more low-key approach these days. Subtle communication, as seen with Wales Bonner, suits the Herzogenaurach-based brand much better. And that’s exactly how it’s approaching its partnership with Bad Bunny. In fact, adidas is being so subtle that we almost missed the upcoming release.

What’s the story behind the Bad Bunny x adidas F50 Ghost Sprint?

At first glance, the Bad Bunny x adidas F50 Ghost Sprint looks like an extremely low-profile, narrow hybrid of a soccer cleat and a track sneaker—more like a highly functional running shoe. In terms of materials, the sneaker features a mesh base covered by a stabilizing TPU cage, reminiscent of the early adidas F50 soccer cleats from the 2000s.

But instead of the typical fold-down tongue found on classic soccer sneakers like the Copa Mundial or Samba, the Bad Bunny version features standard lacing, while the silhouette and outsole are taken from the adidas Ghost Sprint. The most distinctive feature is the aforementioned aggressive webbing, which gives us a bit of a soccer goal vibe, but also reminds us of Spider-Man. Contextually speaking, however, the sneaker also channels the Y2K era, when other soccer releases like Nike’s Total 90 series were at their peak. A total of three colorways are expected: Dark Marine, Solar Slime, and Core Black.

When will the sneakers drop?

There is no official release date yet for the Bad Bunny x adidas F50 Ghost Sprint here in Europe. However, we expect a release soon—either this month or next month at the latest. If you don’t want to miss this and many other exciting drops, download the HEAT MVMNT App and follow us on Instagram.
